Mission and Information

Batesville Community Theatre is a non-profit, 501(c)3 production and presenting body whose mission it is to provide quality theatre arts to the community and to promote theatre as an educational tool in area schools. BCT accomplishes this mission by mounting locally produced plays and musicals using local talent whenever possible; by presenting professional theatre, either in the schools as part of its educational outreach program or as part of the main season; and by bringing in professional talent to work with local actors and directors.

The BCT Board of Directors consists of area citizens who have a compelling interest in the organization's mission and are willing to serve a minimum of two years as "working" members. The Board meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm at a place determined at each meeting (usually a member's home). The public is welcome at these meetings. Anyone interested in attending a meeting should contact a board member. Anyone interested in addressing the Board should contact an officer and ask to be included in the agenda for the next meeting.

BCT is always looking for new talent. If you have any interest in theatre, we want you. We need people with skills and desire to work on and offstage to help our organization grow and flourish. If you want to become involved, please contact a Board member or call the BAAC office and let someone know you are interested in BCT.
